FREE Family Tree Templates

Would you like to compile your own Family Tree? Here are some FREE Family Tree Templates to help you with your research. Simply click on the template name links to view them via your browser, and save them onto your computer to print out when you are ready to start your research. A Family Tree Chart records the ancestors from whom you directly descend. It shows at a glance the progress you have made, and the gaps you still have to fill in your Family Tree.

The Research Calendar gives an account of every Family Tree source you have searched. It serves as a reminder of what you have already done, and where you have found pertinent information.







Free Family Tree Research Extract

Use the Research Extract sheets to summarise Family Tree information which cannot be photocopied, have not yet received the documentation, or for things such as deeds which may be time consuming or difficult to reread quickly when you need specific information.





Free Family Tree Correspondence Record

When making a Family Tree it is important to keep track of those which whom you have corresponded, the reasons for writing, and whether or not you have already received an answer.

Each piece of information concerning a Family Tree member - and his/her family - is placed on this worksheet. Since the end results of your research efforts will be to compile complete, correct and connected families, the use of Family Group Sheets from the beginning will make the compilation easier.





Free Family Tree Source Summary

It is helpful to be able to refer quickly to information you have found for a particular family, and the sources for that information. Keep a separate Source Summary of information found for each Family Tree line.
